2004 New Stake Created[]

A new stake has been created in Utah. The Nibley Utah Stake, which includes the Hyrum 12th and 14th, Nibley 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th wards, has been created by Elder Lavell M. Snow of the Seventy. Created from the Hyrum Utah Stake and the Hyrum Utah North Stake. President — Ronald Dale Bliesner, 55, president of Keller-Bliesner Engineering; wife, Jill Petersen Bliesner. Counselors — Robert William Sidwell, 67, professor at Utah State University; wife, Rhea Julander Sidwell. Steven James Mecham, 50, police officer; wife, Darlene Speas Mecham.

2016 New Stake Presidency[]

NIBLEY UTAH STAKE (June 5, 2016): President—William Dan Farnsworth, 57, mortgage branch manager; succeeding Roland R. Parent; wife, Angela Everton Farnsworth. Counselors—Shaun Michael Oborn, 52, software engineer; wife, Lorna Peterson. Edward Merlin Hegemann, 46, USU institute director, LDS Church; wife, Teri Adams Hegemann.

19 May 2019 : New Stake Division[]

The Nibley Utah West Stake was organized from a division of the Nibley Utah Stake. The new stake includes the following six wards: the Nibley 6th, Nibley 7th, Nibley 8th, Nibley 9th, Nibley 10th, and Nibley 12th Wards.

There are now 602 stakes and one district in Utah.

It is presented in a four year chronological rotation, integrating all areas of study to create a clear picture of the history of our world.

Logan Utah Temple[]


On May 17, 1884 the Logan Utah Temple was dedicated by LDS Church president John Taylor. The design incorporates an unusual amount of Gothic detailing compared with other temples, which are more Renaissance or Byzantine-inspired. It is the 2nd oldest operating temple of the church and serves the saints in Cache Valley.
