2020 Stake Division[]

A new stake was created 25 Oct 2020 in Farmington. The Farmington Utah Farmington Bay Stake was organized on October 25th from a division of the Farmington Utah Stake and the Farmington Utah West Stake. The new stake includes the following eight wards: the Farmington 6th, Farmington 7th, Farmington 16th, Farmington Ranches 1st, Farmington Ranches 3rd, Farmington Ranches 4th, Farmington Ranches 5th, and Meadows Wards. There are now six stakes in Farmington.[1]

FARMINGTON UTAH WEST STAKE: (Oct. 25, 2020) President — Mark Darin Hammond, 55, Smith Knowles attorney; succeeding Aaron R. Hogge; wife, Gaylynn Noble Hammond. Counselors — Matthew Gibb Russon, 41, Russon Mortuary funeral director and owner; wife, Stacy Kathryn Petersen Russon. David Brandon Smith, 44, GPS Capital Markets region manager and sales employee; wife, Shelli Dean Stokes Smith.[2]

2011 Stake Creation[]

A new stake has been created from the Farmington Utah Oakridge Stake and Farmington Utah Stake. The Farmington Utah West Stake, which includes the Farmington Pointe, Farmington Ranches 1st, Farmington Ranches 2nd, Farmington Ranches 3rd, Farmington Ranches 4th, Hunters Creek, Meadows and Quail Crossing wards, was created by Elder Paul B. Pieper of the Seventy.

FARMINGTON UTAH WEST STAKE: (Nov. 6, 2011) President — Aaron Richard Hogge, 42, principal in the Davis School District; wife, Kathy Sue Bahr Hogge. Counselors — Michael H. Romney, 59, welding engineer; wife, Diane Higginson Romney. Michael B. Baker, 44, federal probation officer; wife, Kristin Armstrong Baker. [3]

Bountiful Utah Temple[]


The Bountiful Utah Temple is the 47th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Located sitting high in the eastern foothills with a great panoramic view over the city and the Great Salt Lake. Patrons are greeted by a great circular columned atrium and cascading water features on the east side of the temple.
