Stake History[]

2021 New Stake Division[]

The Church organized its third stake in Dayton, Ohio on November 21st, 2021 by Elder Sean Douglas, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Kevin W. Birch, an Area Seventy.. The Dayton Ohio North Stake was organized from a division of the Cincinnati Ohio East Stake, the Dayton Ohio Stake, the Dayton Ohio East Stake, and the Toledo Ohio Stake. The new stake includes the following six wards and two branches: the Bellefontaine, Huber Heights, Lima, Piqua, Springfield, and Tipp City Wards, and the Greenville and St Marys Branches. This marks the creation of the first new stake in Dayton since 1979. Moreover, this marks the first time a new stake has been created in Ohio since 2007. There are now 15 stakes in Ohio.[1]

It is presented in a four year chronological rotation, integrating all areas of study to create a clear picture of the history of our world.

Columbus Ohio Temple[]

The Columbus Ohio Temple is the 60th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is the second temple built in Ohio following the original Kirtland Temple in 1836. The property has a direct tie to early church member Julia Clapp Murdock.
