Stake History[]
2017 Stake Mergers[]
On / or about 12/03/2017, when the Golden Colorado Stake was consolidated witht the Lakewood Colorado Stake. The new stake was named Front Range Colorado Stake and the merged Stake Center was moved to Golden, Colorado.
For anyone who's interested: the Golden Colorado stake included 3 branches west of the continental divide. When my stake, the Meeker Colorado stake was split (and my current stake, the Craig Colorado Stake was created) in October 2017, the branch in Granby was included in the Craig stake. The other two branches were added to the Rifle Colorado Stake, renamed from Meeker. I believe this left the Golden stake with less than 5 units, hence the merge with Lakewood.

Vernal Utah Temple[]
The Vernal Utah Temple, 51st operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a historic landmark of the Ashley Valley landscape. Constructed inside the red-brick shell of the pioneer-built Uintah Stake Tabernacle, it is located just two blocks south of Main Street, where the domes of the temple and the steeple of the adjacent Vernal Utah Glines Stake Center are visible to travelers along Highway 191. Colorful flowers and beautiful mature trees on the temple grounds enhance the captivating architecture of the building.
