Stake History

2020 Stake Creation

The Church organized a new stake in the Philippines on November 8th. The Camiling Philippines Stake was created from the Camiling Philippines District. Information on which of the 11 branches became wards in the new stake remains unavailable. The Church originally organized the Camiling Philippines Stake in 1991, but the stake was discontinued in 2003 and reconstituted into two districts (Camiling East and Camiling West). The districts combined into a single district in 2017. [1]

This stake was created by Elder Taniela B. Wakolo, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Jose G. Manarin, an Area Seventy, which consists of the Bamban, Cabaluyan, Camiling 2nd and Camiling 4th branches and the Camiling 1st, Camiling 3rd, Camiling 5th, Cammiling 6th, Pindangan and San Clemente wards. Counselors — Fidel Juan Ramos, 42, CAT-Agrikulto Inc. farm supervisor; wife, Agnes Salvador Domingo Ramos. Rodel Devolgado Dolorfino, 44, Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Administrative Corps member; wife, Julieta Lorenzo Feliciano Dolorfino.

Manila Philippines Temple

The Manila Philippines Temple is the 29th operating temple of the Church and is the first temple built in the Philippines (1984). Standing on a hilltop that overlooks the Marikina Valley, the Manila Philippines Temple anchors a complex of Church buildings including a temple annex, a patron housing facility, a missionary training center, and area offices. The beautiful grounds, open to the public, are filled with majestic palm trees and lush, colorful vegetation.
